Final:
For my final, I wanted to photograph gender equality and worker's rights. My mom is the manager of the Emergency Department at Stanford Hospital. I thought she would be a good figure for this project with her work position. Women and people of color are not treated equally compared to others. In work, women and people of color are discriminated against because of their gender/race. At my mom's work, some people in the ER (emergency room) refuse to be helped by her and her other female co-workers. They would rather have a male help them instead. These people do not realize that my mom saves many people's lives every day. With this photo, I want people to see that women are heroes too, just like my mom.
